Verification happens between you and Google. Nobody can do it for you, not us, not any agency. But the process is simple when you know the steps, and this page is all of them.
Why this matters
An unverified or suspended profile does not show up when homeowners search. That means missed calls every single day. It also blocks anyone, including us, from managing the profile for you. Fix this first and everything else in your order starts working.
Step 1: see where you stand
Go to business.google.com and sign in with the Google account you use for your business.
If you see your business with a Verify button or a "Verification needed" note, you are unverified. Go to Step 2.
If you see a suspended notice, go to Step 3.
If you see no business at all, it lives under a different Google account, or it was never claimed. Try your other emails first. Still nothing? Search your business name on Google Maps and look for "Claim this business."
Step 2: not verified yet
Google now verifies most local businesses by video. It takes about 10 minutes to record and up to 5 business days for Google to review.
In your profile, tap Verify now and choose video when offered.
Film in one continuous take: your work vehicle or storefront, your tools or equipment, and something that proves the business is yours, like a license, insurance doc, or branded invoice.
Show your surroundings so Google can match the location, like the street or building.
Submit and wait. Most reviews clear within 5 business days.
Film it like you are proving it to a stranger. The video is Google checking that a real business does real work at a real place. Truck wrap, job site, license. That is the whole game.
Step 3: suspended
Suspensions almost always come from a guideline problem. Fix the problem first, then ask for reinstatement once.
Make the profile match reality: your real business name (no extra keywords like "Best Plumber Austin"), your real address or service area, one profile per business.
Check that your name, address, and phone match what is on your website and license.
Then submit one reinstatement request through Google's Business Profile help center form.
Wait for the answer before doing anything else. Repeat requests slow everything down.
Do not create a new profile to get around a suspension. Google links them, and it can get both suspended. Fix and reinstate the real one.
